(Dover, DE) -- The NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup heads to Dover this week to close out the Challenger Round. Four of the 16 drivers in the Chase will be eliminated after this round entering the next three races in the Contender Round. Sunday's race gets underway at 2:00.

Joey Logano has already advanced to the next round of the NASCAR Sprint Cup playoffs and on Thursday signed a contract extension to remain with Team Penske.

Terms of the multi-year agreement for the Chase for the Sprint Cup contender were not disclosed.

Logano has seven career NASCAR Sprint Cup race victories, including five since joining Team Penske for the start of the 2013 season. He has four wins this year and sits second in the Chase for the Sprint Cup standings after last week's win at the Sylvania 300 in New Hampshire.

The 24-year-old Logano was the 2009 Sprint Cup Rookie of the Year and finished a career-best eighth in last year's Chase standings.
