One local organization utilizes the annual Apple & Pork Festival to help fund their annual Fall Festival.

The Kenney Civic League makes thier presence know through their popular apple danish and cinnamon rolls. Debbie Rhodes, with Kenney Civic League, stresses everything is homemade and prepared by over 20 volunteers. She explains their annual Fall Fesitval is the benefactor of their annual sales, which will be celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

Rhodes explains volunteers give many hours of their time to provide quality food for Apple & Pork every year. She notes making the rolls and danish is hard work but everyone has a good time participating.

Rhodes has met a couple visiting from Ohio who bought danish to take back home with them. The Apple & Pork festival sees visitors for all over the country, and even in some cases, the world, to come out to support the non-profits.

This year's festival turnout was estimated at just short of 95-thousand.
