Two teams that need to win out to get into the playoffs will look to get back on the winning track this week as the regular season of the high school football season begins to wind down.
Coming off two consecutive losses for the first time this year, the Clinton Maroons will hit the road to take on Warrensburg-Latham tonight. The Maroons, coming off a 49-21 loss at Tuscola last week, play two of their final three games on the road, including a late season game at Sullivan-Okaw Valley.
The 2-4 Maroons must win the final three games of the regular season to qualify for the playoffs for the first time under Coach John Hayden.

After two tough losses, the Cerro-Gordo Bement Broncos will return to Cerro Gordo for a Little Okaw Valley Conference matchup with Argenta-Oreana. The Bombers have struggled on the season after losing star quarterback, and Kentucky baseball-commit Keegan McHood to a broken leg.
The Bombers are 1-5 on the season while the Broncos are 2-4 and have lost their last two games.
If the Broncos do not win out, they will miss the playoffs for the first time in the coop era with Bement and only the second time under the tenure of head coach Andy Kerley. After tonight's home matchup, the Broncos face an uphill battle on the road at Arcola and at Maroa-Forsyth.
