Matt Adams had given the Cards the lead in the bottom of the eighth with a solo homer, but Matt Duffy scored from second in the top of the ninth on a wild pitch to tie the game. Oscar Taveras hit a solo shot in the seventh to knot the game at three, and Matt Carpenter smacked a solo homer in the third for St. Louis. Seth Maness [[ MAY-ness ]] grabbed the win. Cards catcher Yadier Molina left early with a strained oblique. Sergio Romo suffered the loss in relief. The best-of-seven series is locked up at 1-1 with Game Three on Tuesday in San Francisco.
