Avs Edge Bruins On Briere's Late Tally

Jamie McGinn staked Colorado to a 1-0 lead early in the second period, but Loui Eriksson tied it for Boston with a power-play goal later in the frame. Reto Berra [[ RET-oh BARE-uh ]] made 27 saves for the Avs, who notched their first win of the season after consecutive shutout losses to Minnesota. Niklas Svedberg denied 28 shots in net for Boston, which suffered its third straight loss since a 2-1 season-opening win at Philadelphia last week.
