Clinton High School Golf Teams Finish Seasons

width=Monday ended the season for the Clinton High School golf team.

Regionals were held last week for the boys varsity team and one girl golfer, Rachel Borland.
The boys played at the University of Illinois Blue Course in Urbana and Rachel played at Lake of the Woods in Mahomet.

Chase Reynolds advanced as an individual to the Sectional tournament shooting a round of 80 on the Par 72 course. Rachel shot a 114 and missed advancing to the girl's Sectional tournament by one stroke, ending her senior golf season.

Reynolds competed Tuesday in the boy's Class 2A Sectional held at the University of Illinois Orange Course (Par 72). He finished his freshman season shooting a round of 85. The cut to advance to the state tournament was 78.

School records show Reynolds is only the fourth freshman to advance to the Sectional tournament from Clinton. His 85 is the lowest round carded by any of the four freshmen who made it to Sectionals.
