A standoff in western Illinois that lasted five and a half hours has ended with the arrest of a 26-year-old man.
Authorities say Dustin Lewis held police at bay with a shotgun, firing several shots inside and outside the residence but not directly at police officers.
Friday's standoff took place in rural Warren County.
Local prosecutors say Lewis was the only one inside the home when deputies arrived around 3:30 p.m. Friday.
At about 9 p.m. a SWAT team arrested him.
Lewis faces felony charges, including aggravated assault to a police officer and possession of a firearm by a felon.
He is being held in the Warren County Jail. A bond hearing is expected over the weekend.
