>>Chargers, Broncos Battle For AFC West Lead

(Denver, CO) -- First place in the AFC West is on the line this week on "Thursday Night Football" as the San Diego Chargers take on the Denver Broncos at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The Chargers had their five-game winning streak snapped with a 23-20 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday. San Diego is now 5-and-2 on the season, a half-game behind 5-and-1 Denver. The Broncos blasted the 49ers 42-17 on Sunday night. >>Roger Goodell Forced To Testify In Ray Rice Hearing

(New York, NY) -- NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will testify at former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice's suspension appeal hearing. ESPN.com reports Goodell is being forced to testify at the hearing that will be heard November 5th and 6th. Rice was suspended indefinitely September 8th for violating the league's personal conduct policy after a video of Rice hitting his then-fiancee in an elevator was released to the public. Rice was originally banned two games, before the video surfaced. A U.S. District Judge will serve as the hearing's neutral arbiter. The Player's Union says Goodell and his staff's testimony are key to the appeal, and a key reason to have an outside arbiter.

>>Judge Hearing Adrian Peterson Trial Not Removed

(Conroe, TX) -- The judge set to hear the child abuse case involving Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson is not going anywhere. Peterson is being accused of abusing his four-year-old son earlier this year. A tentative start date for his trial is set for December 1st.
