Bloomington Woman Gets 14 Years in Fatal DUI

A Bloomington woman who pleaded guilty to drunken driving in a car crash that killed an Illinois State University student has been sentenced to 14 years in state prison.

37-year-old Jamie Webb was sentenced on Thursday by McLean County Associate Judge Casey Costigan.

In August, Webb pleaded guilty to aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol in the March 29 crash that killed 22-year-old Michael Collins.

Authorities say Webb was driving more than 130 mph before running the light and crashing into the vehicle in which Collins was riding. Collins died three days later. Three other people were injured.
