NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon is mourning the loss of his driver's ed teacher. Police say 78-year-old Larry Sparks and his wife were killed in a car crash in Tennessee on Monday while returning from watching the four-time Sprint Cup champion race. WBIR-TV reports their vehicle went off Interstate 75 and hit a tree. Sparks was both a teacher and principal at Tri-West High School near Indianapolis. Gordon posted condolences on Twitter, "Larry Sparks was my driver's ed teacher but also 1 of my biggest fans. He'll be dearly missed." Gordon finished second to Dale Earnhardt Jr. in Sunday's race in Martinsville, Virginia.
