He went 2-and-0 while giving up just one run over 21 innings against the Royals. Pablo Sandoval finished 3-for-3 with two runs scored for the Giants, who earned their eighth crown overall. Sandoval set a Major League record with 26 postseason hits. At 39, Tim Hudson became the oldest pitcher to start a Game Seven in the Series. He yielded two runs in just an inning-and-two-thirds.

Bumgarner pitched five scoreless innings in relief in Game Seven of the Giants' 3-2 win over the Royals on Wednesday to earn the save. He also won his two starts during the series, including a complete game shutout in Game Five on Sunday. "MadBum" allowed just one run in 21 innings overall against the Royals and is now 4-and-0 in his career in the Fall Classic with a 0.25 ERA and three championships. The 25-year-old southpaw threw a Major League-record 52-and-two-thirds innings this postseason.
