BREAKING NEWS: Clinton Restaurant Burglarized Overnight; Suspect Being Sought By Authorities

 width=At 12:53 a.m. Clinton Police, assisted by Dewitt County Sheriff’s Deputies, were called to the scene of a burglary in progress at Three Star Restaurant located at 1161 West State Route 54 in Clinton.

A responding unit located the suspect vehicle where a brief pursuit ensued before the suspects abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.

Taken into custody and charged with burglary were Tabitha A. Lane, 25, Clinton, and Ivan Lopez-Martinez, 23, Clinton.

A third suspect, Anibal Rodriguez, 24 Clinton, remains at large and is being sought for questioning. Rodriguez is described as a Hispanic male, 5’7” 230 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes.

The suspects forced entry into Three Star Restaurant and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and liquor. Subsequent investigation by Clinton Police has revealed the same suspects are also responsible for the burglary to Tidy House Laundromat on October 28, 2014.

Lane and Martinez remain lodged in the Dewitt County Jail pending a court appearance. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Anibal Rodriguez are encouraged to contact the Clinton Police Department at 217-935-9441.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.
