A Peoria man charged with shooting two people has been ordered held on $1 million bond.
According to reports, 20-year-old Courtney Blakes is charged with two counts of aggravated battery and one count of aggravated discharged of a firearm. He appeared in court Wednesday and faces up to 30 years in prison on each of the aggravated battery counts if convicted. A grand jury is expected to review the case.
Police say Blakes shot 21-year-old Blade Bellow and 19-year-old Julie Hill in the face Monday. They say the victims were inside a building when someone outside fired into a window with a shotgun.
