Early voting numbers are up considerably compared to this time four-years ago. Jim Tenuto, with the State Board of Elections, says Governor Quinn, Bruce Rauner, and other candidates really pushed the early vote this time around.

A preliminary count shows more than 479-thousand people have already cast a ballot, and that doesn't even include numbers out of suburban Cook County. Three-hundred-82-thousand people cast early ballots this time four years ago. Early voting numbers may be up, but there are actually fewer people registered to vote this time around.
