Tre Roberson threw for two touchdowns and ran for another and Marshaun Coprich ran for two scores Saturday to give Illinois State a 35-21 comeback win over Youngstown State.
Roberson hit Cameron Meredith on a 29-yard pass for the go-ahead score in the fourth quarter after Collin Keoshian blocked a 45-yard field-goal try by Joey Cejudo. Roberson iced the game with a 36-yard TD run after the Penguins (7-3, 4-2 Missouri Valley) turned the ball over on downs.
Coprich tied it at 21 in the third quarter with a 1-yard run for the Redbirds (8-1, 5-1).
Roberson was 16 of 24 for 178 yards and an interception, with a 6-yard TD pass to James O'Shaughnessy. Coprich gained 107 yards on 22 carries, with a 2-yard TD run.
Hunter Wells was 14 of 25 for 236 yards and two TD passes. His 39-yarder to Andrew Williams gave the Penguins a 21-14 halftime lead.

Trenton Norvell threw five touchdown passes and Western Illinois pulled away in the second half to beat South Dakota 44-29 on Saturday night.
Norvell threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Larry Harris and found Hi-C Scott for a 34-yard score to give the Leathernecks a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. The Coyotes responded, and the game was tied at 23 at halftime.
Two Western Illinois touchdowns - an 18-yard run by Devon Moore and Norvell's 12-yard pass to Joey Borsellino - put the Leathernecks up by 11 at the end of the third.
J.C. Baker ran for 118 on 21 carries to lead Western Illinois (4-6, 2-4 Missouri Valley Conference) on the ground.
Kevin Earl threw for 251 yards and two touchdown passes for the Coyotes (2-8, 0-6). His 21-yarder to Eric Shufford Jr. gave South Dakota a 4-point lead in the second quarter.

Jalen Whitlow threw for three touchdowns and Taylor Duncan ran for two more as Eastern Illinois defeated Murray State 48-26 on Saturday.
The victory set up a showdown for the Panthers (5-5, 5-1) at Ohio Valley Conference leader Jacksonville State (6-0) next week.
After the Panthers took a 21-0 lead in the first quarter, the Racers (3-7, 1-5) closed to within 28-20 on Pokey Harris' school-record 100-yard kickoff return and KD Humphries' 9-yard scoring pass to Nevar Griffin. But Duncan scored his second touchdown, Whitlow threw a 16-yard scoring pass to Adam Drake and then ran 1 yard for another touchdown to secure the victory.
Whitlow finished 27 of 37 with 312 yards. Duncan rushed for 171 yards on 30 carries as the Panthers rolled up a 654-483 advantage on offense.
Humphries was 29 of 38 for 306 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.

(Cedar Falls, IA) -- The winning streak for North Dakota State football is over. A 23-3 loss to Northern Iowa on Saturday halted the streak at 33 games. It is the first road loss for the Bison since 2010 at Eastern Washington. The three-time defending FCS champions are now 9-and-1 on the season.
