University of Illinois basketball coach John Groce has announced the team's latest recruiting class.
Groce says high school seniors Jalen Coleman-Lands of Indianapolis, Aaron Jordan of Plainfield, Illinois and D.J. Williams of Chicago Simeon have signed national letters of intent to join the Fighting Illini next year.
Lamar State-Port Arthur junior college sophomore Darius Paul is returning after leaving last year.
Groce said Wednesday he is thrilled having the recruits. He added he believes with Coleman-Lands and Jordan, the Illini has one of the better set of shooters in the country.
He says they are "lights out" from the perimeter, and Williams can "play practically anywhere on the floor."
Groce said he is looking forward to Paul's return. He said he's proud of Paul's
progress on and off the court.
