>>ISU Lineman Named Offensive Lineman of the Week

After helping Illinois State rush for nearly 300 yards on the ground and improve to 9-1 on the season in a win at South Dakota, senior offensive lineman Mike Liedtke was named the Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week, Monday, by the league office.

The honor is the first of the season for Liedtke and the second for a Redbird offensive lineman this season, with right guard Rocco Ammons previously taking home the honor on Sept. 29.

Liedtke graded out at 96 percent and helped the Redbirds rush for 293 yards and a season-best four touchdowns on the ground in a 45-26 win over the Coyotes. He was credited with five knock downs in the contest and led the way for running back Marshaun Coprich, who extended his school-record streak of 100-plus yard rushing performances to 10 in a row with a career-best 221 yards and two scores against South Dakota. width=
