Local Leaders Have Much To Be Thankful For

The Thanksgiving holiday is upon us and several local leaders are taking time to express their gratitude this holiday season.

width=For almost every person, Thanksgiving means something different, and for Dr. Jeff Holmes (right), Superintendent of Clinton Schools, the faculty and staff he has that strive to give each and every student of the school district a quality education are among the many things he is thankful for. He also credits the Board of Education striving to make good decisions for the students and faculty of the district.

For Susan Wilson, Superintendent of Blue Ridge Schools, the support of the community is her first area of thanks. She also feels the faculty and staff of the district go above and beyond to provide education for the students of the district, and Wilson is grateful for them.

The Mayor says while Clinton is not where her roots originate, she feels it has become home as this is where her late-husband was from and where she raised her family. She feels being in public service is a way for her to give back and hopes to do so until her health cannot support her.
