Unemployment rose slightly in many Illinois counties throughout October.
DeWitt County saw unemployment slightly increase from 6.0% in September to 6.2 in October.
Piatt County grew slightly, going from 5.3% to 5.4%.
Macon County's unemployment also increased going from 7.9% in September to 8.2% in October.
Logan County saw unemployment go from 6.5% to 6.2%.
Unemployment in McLean County grew in October, going from 5.6% to 5.9%.
In Champaign County, employment also increased to 6.4%.
Unemployment in Sangamon County stayed grew from 5.8% to 6.1%
The highest unemployment rate was at 8.9% in Hardin County.
Brown County once again had the state's lowest unemployment rate at 3.2%.
The state's unemployment stayed steady at 6.2% in October. The national unemployment rate sits at 5.5%.
