Blues Forward Nets NHL Award

(St. Louis, MO) -- Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko is the NHL's Second Star for the month of November. He had 10 goals and seven assists in 15 games last month as the Blues went 11-3-and-1. Tarasenko has 14 goals and 12 assists overall. Calgary defenseman Mark Giordano was named First Star.

(New York, NY) -- Islanders goalie Jaroslav Halak [[ hah-LOCK ]], Lightning forward Ryan Callahan and Flames goalie Karri Ramo are the NHL's top stars for last week. Halak took First Star honors after going 3-0-and-0 with a 0.95 goals-against average and a .964 save percentage. Callahan was named Second Star after notching three goals and two assists in just two games. Ramo got the Third Star after starting in net for shutout wins over San Jose and Phoenix.

(New York, NY) -- A three-goal third period lifted the Lightning to a 6-3 win over the Rangers at Madison Square Garden. Brett Connolly and Tyler Johnson each had two goals for Tampa Bay, which has won four in-a-row. Ben Bishop turned away 32 of the 35 shots he faced. The Blueshirts have dropped three games to the Lightning since November 17th. Martin St. Louis tallied his 10th goal of the season to give New York a 3-2 lead midway through the second period. Henrik Lundqvist allowed five goals on 20 shots for the Rangers, who had won four of their previous five.
