DeWitt County State's Attorney Makes Resignation Official Monday Night

 width=In early November, it was announced State's Attorney Karle Koritz (right) had been named to the post of Circuit Judge after the passing of late-Judge Garry Bryan. Monday night, Koritz made his resignation official.

Koritz will be sworn in as the Resident Circuit Judge of DeWitt County on December 5th, and took a few minutes Monday night to thank the community for their support during the 2012 campaign and his two years as State's Attorney. He's proud of the last two years despite the many challenges.

Despite the negative publicity the County has received the past couple years, Koritz says "I see different reality in the halls of this building (County Building) every single day". He assures residents their county is in good shape thanks to each county department head.

The latest installment of the DeWitt County Board was sworn in Monday, and Koritz could not help but express his excitement about the future of the County. He has every confidents in the abilities of the members to the County going forward.

Koritz is grateful for the support he and his family have received the last two years and calls his new position "a dream job" and feels it is rare one gets to hold a position like that in their hometown.

Koritz concluded with an aside saying he was glad to see District B fully represented again on the Board.
