Coprich, ISU Run Past Eastern Washington

 width=Marshaun Coprich ran for 258 yards and four touchdowns to lead Illinois State to a 59-46 win over Eastern Washington on Saturday in the FCS quarterfinals.

Tre Roberson passed for 206 yards and two touchdowns and added 62 yards rushing and another score for the Redbirds.

Fifth-seeded Illinois State (12-1) visits top-seeded New Hampshire (11-1) next Friday or Saturday in the semifinals. Fourth-seeded Eastern Washington finished 11-3.

Illinois State built a 10-0 lead in the first quarter, led 24-17 at the half, then outscored the Eagles 21-3 in the third quarter.

Eastern Washington's Vernon Adams, one of three finalists for the Walter Payton Award as the FCS offensive player of the year, lacked his usual passing accuracy. Adams completed 25 of 44 passes for 425 yards. In the fourth quarter, he scored on a 2-yard run and passed for three touchdowns in near-freezing temperatures.
