Clinton FD Upgraded Recent Vehicle

A recently purchased truck by the Clinton Fire Department will soon be customized.

According to Fire Chief Shawn Milton, their new 2015 Ford truck will be outfitted with a topper, a bed extension slide and stepping bars.

The Chief says the truck is going to be a great asset to the department. He explains it will allow them to travel to mutual aid calls without having to take out one of their big rigs.

The updates were approved at a cost of $4159.

At the less than 25 minute Monday meeting, the City Council also approved the relocation of an electrical system in the alley of the 200 block of East Washington Street at a cost of just under $40-thousand. We'll have more on that later this week on Regional Radio News.
