More Americans are traveling this holiday season than ever before.
Triple-A's Julie Hall says the calendar is just one reason for the uptick in travel.
Hall says drivers should do a safety check of their car before heading out on vacation.
She adds 90-percent of those vacationers will travel by car, and drivers will notice the steep drop in gas prices and the price of gas isn't a factor in a family's decision to vacation, but cheaper prices give them more to spend on hotels, restaurants, and merchandise. Hall recommends that drivers do a safety check of their car, since Triple-A expects to rescue 1.1-million stranded motorists between now and January 4th.
