DeWitt County Museum Plans Busy 2015 During Winter Closure

With the start of 2015, the staff of the DeWitt County Museum will soon go to work on needed projects.

The Museum will close for the winter beginning this weekend and there will be a full plate of preparations for the Spring. Museum Manager Larry Buss explains their work really begins once the doors close. He notes self-discipline plays into their tight schedule to get everything ready for the re-opening in April.

A new display involving the Illinois Central Railroad will be displayed beginning in the Spring. Buss says various areas of the house will have new items on view when the museum opens it doors.

New Museum Director Joey Woolridge is working on a World War I exhibit for the spring. She's also excited about a new event involving C.H. Moore. The event will look at life during the Victorian Era of history and spotlight various cultural aspects of the time.
