Illinois Manufacturers' Chief Says Tax Reform Needed In Illinois

If tax reform leads to stability, Illinois businesses are ready to talk with lawmakers.
Illinois leaders have floated the idea of business tax reforms, possibly adding new taxes or slightly higher taxes, in exchange for a more modern tax code. Mark Denzler with the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association, says as long a job creators get some stability from Springfield, they’re willing to talk.

Denzler says businesses don’t want more taxes. But he says both the manufacturing sector and service sector could support some tax changes.
