'LincolnSelfie' Contest Promotes Abe's, Museum's Birthdays

What if the Great Emancipator had taken a selfie?

The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum wants people to take a stab at answering that question with a "LincolnSelfie Contest."

Each contestant should shoot a photo of him- or herself in one or more of the following ways: dressed as the 16th president or with an impersonator; at a Lincoln site or museum; or holding a Lincoln statue, doll, photo or artwork.

Previous selfies are OK but digital manipulation is prohibited.

Judges will choose three finalists Feb. 2. They will be posted on the museum's Facebook page. The number of "likes" determines the winner on Feb. 12.

The winner will receive a gift-shop water bottle, a t-shirt, library and museum guide, and a brand-name "selfie stick."
