2014 Positive Year for Lincoln

 width=As the City of Lincoln looks toward the new year, it's Mayor looks back on the accomplishments of 2014.

The past year has seen several changes to city government including new three new aldermen joining the Lincoln City Council. Mayor Keith Snyder appointed the new council members due to three resignations by former aldermen with other commitments. He says he enjoys working with committed citizens working for the betterment of the community.

Lincoln has also seen major improvements in economic development in 2014. Mayor Snyder explains the city engaged a firm to help attract new businesses to the community. The group called "Retail Strategies" helps to provide data and relationships to area wishing to upgrade their business communities.

 width=2014 also saw a new merger between three local organizations develop in Lincoln. Main Street Lincoln, the Lincoln Logan County Chamber of Commerce and Logan County Tourism Bureau has become the Logan County Alliance. Snyder notes this merge will create a greater synergy between all three groups and allow for better communication.

Snyder mentions the new Board for the Logan County Alliance has formed and will officially kick-off in January.
