Jaden Schwartz and Alexander Steen also scored for the Blues, who have won five in-a-row. Jake Allen had to make just 13 saves for the victory. Benoit Pouliot [[ BEN-wah POO-lee-ott ]] scored twice in the third period for Edmonton, which has dropped three of four. Ben Scrivens stopped 25 shots in the setback.

(New York, NY) -- Jaroslav Halak denied all 27 shots he faced and the Islanders scored three times in the second period to sink the Rangers, 3-0, at Madison Square Garden. Anders Lee, Nikolay Kulemin and Frans Nielsen had the goals for the Islanders, who have won both meetings with their bitter rival this season. Henrik Lundqvist allowed all three goals on 32 shots before being lifted for Cam Talbot, who made 12 saves the rest of the way. The Rangers lost for only the second time in their last 15 games.
