Northern Iowa Tops Bradley; Illinois At Northwestern Tonight

Seth Tuttle scored 15 points and sank four late free throws to help No. 23 Northern Iowa beat Bradley 63-52 in a Missouri Valley Conference game on Tuesday.

The Panthers (15-2, 4-1) dominated the Braves both offensively and defensively early, leading 29-9 at one point late in the first half. Natt Buss and Paul Jesperson chipped in 11 and 9 points respectively for Northern Iowa.

Auston Barnes led Bradley (6-12, 1-4) with 14 points. Warren Jones added 10, while Josh Cunningham grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.

Northern Iowa's ninth-ranked defense made its presence felt in the opening minute, forcing a turnover and a quick two points off Bradley's first possession of the game. The Panthers led 35-18 at the half.

(Evanston, IL) -- Illinois has a road date with Northwestern tonight at 8 p.m. The Fighting Illini are coming off a 53-43 loss at Nebraska on Sunday. Illinois is 11-and-6 overall and 0-and-3 in Big Ten play. The Wildcats have lost two straight to Wisconsin and Michigan State to fall to 10-and-6 and 1-and-2.

When Duke heads to Louisville for Saturday's marquee matchup with Louisville, it'll do so having dropped back-to-back ACC games for the first time in six years.

Manu Lecomte scored 18 of his 23 points in the second half, leading a torrid shooting display from Miami-Florida after the break that propelled the Hurricanes to a stunning 90-74 upset of the fourth-ranked Blue Devils.

Miami (12-4, 2-1 ACC) halted the nation's longest home win streak in emphatic fashion, putting up 56 second-half points on an 18-of-27 effort from the field that included six makes in nine attempts from 3-point range.

Quinn Cook did finish with 18 points in the loss, with Jahlil Okafor compiling 15 with 15 rebounds for the Blue Devils and Amile Jefferson posting 14 points and 12 boards.
