U.S. Soccer's Solo Suspended

width=U.S. Soccer is suspending women's national team star Hope Solo for 30 days after reports that she failed to cooperate with police during a traffic stop in Los Angeles earlier this week. The goalkeeper will miss overseas matches in February against France and England. Solo was in the car when her husband, former NFL tight end Jerramy Stevens, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. The 33-year-old Solo will be eligible to return pending a review and approval from U.S. Soccer.

Solo was also arrested last June in Kirkland, Washington and charged with two counts of fourth-degree domestic violence assault. She was accused of attacking her sister and nephew, who was 17-years-old at the time. Those charges were dismissed earlier this month.
