Bulls Blast Spurs; Gasol Tabbed Starter For East All-Star Team

 width=Derrick Rose dropped in 22 points and Pau Gasol posted 12 points and 17 rebounds as the Bulls blasted the Spurs 104-81 at the United Center. Jimmy Butler scored 17 points while Taj Gibson added 15 to go with nine boards for the Bulls, who won for just the third time in nine games. Aaron Brooks chipped in with 15 points off the bench in the victory. Kawhi Leonard netted 16 points to pace San Antonio, which had won its previous four. Tim Duncan was held to just six points on 2-of-7 shooting in defeat. The Spurs shot just 37-percent as a team.

(Undated) -- The starters for the 2015 NBA All-Star Game are out. They final tally of the fan voting was released on a special edition of NBA Tip-Off on TNT. Warriors guard Steph Curry was the leading vote-getter and headlines the Western Conference team. Curry will be joined by Clippers forward Blake Griffin, Grizzlies center Marc Gasol, Pelicans forward Anthony Davis and Lakers guard Kobe Bryant. Bryant's status for the contest is currently unknown with Los Angeles announcing he suffered a torn rotator cuff on Thursday. Cavaliers forward LeBron James compiled the second-most fan votes. James leads an Eastern Conference squad featuring Wizards guard John Wall, Raptors guard Kyle Lowry, Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony and Bulls center Pau Gasol. The 64th edition of the All-Star Game will be played at Madison Square Garden on February 15th.
