Bulls Edge Magic

Gasol ended with 25 points and 15 rebounds, while Jimmy Butler dropped in a game-high 27 points for Chicago, which has won two in-a-row since a three-game skid. Butler also had six steals and five assists. Joakim Noah notched 18 points and nine boards in the victory. Victor Oladipo scored 18 points and Tobias Harris had 15 to go with eight rebounds for the Magic, who have lost 10 of their last 11. Nikola Vucevic added 14 points and seven boards but missed a potential game-winning shot at the end.

(Los Angeles, CA) -- Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin will undergo surgery Monday to remove a staph infection in his right elbow. The procedure will be performed in Los Angeles and Griffin will be re-evaluated after the All-Star break. The 25-year-old Griffin is averaging 22.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists this season.

(New York, NY) -- Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard is an All-Star after all. The NBA announced on Sunday that Lillard will replace Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin on the Western Conference All-Star team. Griffin is schedule to undergo surgery to remove a staph infection from his right elbow on Monday. Lillard, who previously voiced his displeasure over not being named an All-Star this season, will be joined on the West squad by Portland teammate LaMarcus Aldridge.

(New Orleans, LA) -- New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis is day-to-day with a sprained right shoulder. Davis suffered the injury after a scary fall during Saturday's night's loss to the Chicago Bulls. The 21-year-old Davis is averaging 24.5 points, 10.3 rebounds and nearly three blocks per game. He was also named to his second All-Star team this season.

(Sacramento, CA) -- The Sacramento Kings are still figuring out if they need to make a second in-season coaching change. According to Yahoo! Sports, George Karl's return to the NBA as Sacramento's head coach is at the "ownership level." The Kings front office met with interim head coach Tyrone Corbin after Sunday night's win against the Suns. The decision makers are advising the organization to agree to terms with Karl, who will have his representation continue discussions with the Kings today. Sacramento fired Mike Malone for Corbin earlier in the season.
