The power plant has come under the microscope recently as threats of them closing as they battle trying to keep up with other energy providers and their decreasing costs. According to Rep. Mitchell, he is going to sit down with Exelon leaders and hear what things they are wanting.

Rep. Mitchell will be meeting with Exelon leaders next week. He says he remains in contact with supporters of the measure as well, including lawmakers that represent districts with other nuclear power plants.
He hopes to have a proposal brought before the legislature this spring.
