CCEF Provides New Scholarships for Vocational Interests

As high school seniors begin to determine the college of their choice, now is the time to think about funding for school.

Many local organizations offer financial assistance to college students through various scholarships and one of these local groups is the Clinton Community Educational Foundation. Claudine Wargel, with CCEF, explains they are offering their annual scholarship along with a new one dedicated to helping those in technical or vocational schools.

The CCEF has been offering scholarships for a number of years available to students will all types of interests. Yet, Wargel notes they haven't seen any interest from those going to community colleges or technical schools. The new scholarship will hopefully attract those wanting to enter vocational education according to Wargel.

The scholarship will be in the amount of $2500 and may be given out to more than one student depending on their applications. Wargel explains the CCEF hopes this will encourage the students to work hard through their college careers.
