>>Chiefs Part Ways With WR's Avery, Jenkins

(Kansas City, MO) -- The Kansas City Chiefs are parting ways with wide receivers Donnie Avery and A.J. Jenkins. KC has released Avery, who played in just six games this past season after missing time recovering from surgery for a sports hernia. He had just 15 catches for 176 yards after finishing third among Chiefs' receivers in 2013 with 596 yards.  width=Jenkins was put on waivers after he had just nine catches for 93 yards in nine games.

>>Cowboys Leaning Toward Using Franchise Tag On Dez

(Indianapolis, IN) -- The Dallas Cowboys are prepared to use the franchise tag on wide receiver Dez Bryant. Executive Vice President Stephen Jones says "right now, I'd say we'd probably be leaning that way, but it doesn't mean it won't change." Jones added that the team is "still working through everything" and that they are not in a hurry to use the tag too soon. In other team news, the 'Boys re-signed guard Ron Leary and offensive tackle Darrion Weems. Both were exclusive rights free agents. Leary started in 15 games at left guard last season and has started in all 31 appearances over his two years with the 'Boys. Weems missed all of 2014 with a shoulder injury.

>>Winston And Mariota To Throw At Combine

(Indianapolis, IN) -- The NFL Scouting Combine is getting a little more interesting. The two top quarterbacks will throw when they take the field on Saturday. According to ESPN, Oregon QB Marcus Mariota will show off his arm, while NFL.com said Florida State QB Jameis Winston will do the same. Often times, the top quarterbacks will skip out on the throwing portion of the combine.
