It's playoff time in high school basketball and local teams from across the area are hoping to make a run that lasts into the month of March.
Tonight in Monticello, the Clinton Maroons will hope to end a run of one-and-dones in postseason play as they will take on Maroa-Forsyth from the Monticello Regional.
The Maroons finished the season 8-18 overall and 2-5 in the first year of the new Central Illinois Conference. Under second year head coach Clay Haurberg, the Maroons come into tonight's game on a five game losing streak but hope to advance to a Tuesday matchup with the Regional's top seed and host Monticello.
Tonight's game gets underway at 7 pm and can be heard on 92.3 FM WHOW and online at dewittdailynews.com.
