With tax season upon us, Social Security is providing helpful tools for its beneficiaries.

The Social Security website has made it possible for replacement SSA 1099 forms to be printed out. Jack Myers, with Social Security, explains those with online accounts can replace lost forms without making a phone call or visiting their local office.

SSA 1099 forms are mailed out in January and summarizes the prior year's Social Security benefits. Myers says some benefits are taxable and need to be recorded when filing taxes. He notes though, if your combined income exceeds twenty-five thousand dollars, there may be taxes to pay on them.
