The Doctor John Warner Hospital Board approved a motion to begin negotiations with a hospital management firm to help run the hospital on Monday night.

After hearing proposals from two firms, Quorum Health Resources and Alliant Management Services, the Board's Personnel Committee met last week to review the pros and cons of each firm. Personnel Committee Chair Joanna Holtman explained every Board Member attended last week's meeting. Each member also received input from various community members and medical leaders.

The Board felt each company had postive aspects that would benefit DJWH. Holtman noted the conclusion reached was to authorize Board President Cindy Saylors to enter negotiations with Alliant. The proposed contract will be brought back to the Board for a final vote.

The motion was approved 4-1 with Evan Severson voting no.
