The Montiecllo Sages scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning, and three
starters combined to hold Arthur to a run Tuesday afternoon, as Monticello rallied to a
2-1 win.

Daniel Caldwell drove in the go ahead run to give the Sages the lead.

Tyler Jones started going 4 innings, giving up a run on two walks and four strikeouts.

Daniel Peterson and Jacob Burton collected a pair of hits and Jones reached twice on
base on balls.

Konnor Bundy and Cam Wittig closed out the final three innings for the victory.

Monticello has started their season a red hot 6-0 and travel to Shelbyville this afternoon.

95.9 FM WEZC and dewittdailynews.com will be broadcasting a "Monticello Game of the
Week" starting Friday when the Sages travel to Cerro Gordo.

Broadcast time will be just short of game time, which is set for 4:30.
