Schock Replacement Election Could Lead To Lawsuit

Aaron Schock’s resignation is likely going to get Illinois sued.

Not because of anything Schock may have done, but because the election to replace him in Congress could be “impossible.”

McLean County Clerk Kathy Michael says lawmakers are focused on good intentions, but ignore the realities of each new election mandate.

Menzel said the Justice Department in DC has sued Illinois over the past two special elections, and he says a suit over the Schock special election “wouldn’t surprise” him.
