Among the best in the world at last week's WGC-Cadillac Match Play, Rory McIlroy emerged victorious with a 4 & 2 win over Gary Woodland on Sunday, which allowed McIlroy to tighten his grip even more on the No. 1 ranking in the world.

McIlroy improved 1.41 average points and is now up to 12.62, which is 3.57 more than Masters champion and world No. 2 Jordan Spieth, who remained in that slot for another week.

The rest of the top-13 stayed put as well. Henrik Stenson, Bubba Watson, Jim Furyk, Justin Rose, Jason Day, Dustin Johnson, Adam Scott, Sergio Garcia, Jimmy Walker, J.B. Holmes and Rickie Fowler are all Nos. 3-13 once again.

Hideki Matsuyama improved two slots from 16 to 14. While Patrick Reed remained the same at 15, Kuchar fell two spots due to Matsuyama's ascent and is now No. 16.

Martin Kaymer, Phil Mickelson, Billy Horschel and Brooks Koepka rounded out the top-20 from No. 17 for another week.

Due to his runner-up finish, Woodland moved up 20 spots and is now ranked No. 32 in the world.
