Clinton Police Chief Encourages May Days Safety

This weekend will see a popular annual event for the City of Clinton.

May Days begins Thursday evening and will once again be a destination for family fun. Safety is one of the main priorities of the weekend and Clinton Police Chief Ben Lowers says the department will up their patrols. The downtown square will close on Friday afternoon through Sunday during May Days.

The Clinton Police would like to remind attendees that dogs and bicycles are not allowed in carnival areas during May Days. Lowers notes crowd congestion may cause risk of an accident or an attendee being hurt.

The downtown square will fully open once again on Sunday evening for public use.

May Days will begin this Thursday evening and conclude Sunday afternoon.
