Uber drivers continue to operate in Bloomington-Normal even though doing so is illegal. Bloomington Assistant Chief Ken Bays says city leaders are working on an ordinance that would make the ridesharing service legal. Bays says until that ordinance is passed Uber drivers can be reported to police.

The ordinance could come to the city council by the end of the month.
