Illinois is the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten Tournament for the fourth time in program history and takes on Nebraska tonight from Target Field in Minneapolis.

Kevin Duchene will get the nod for the Illini tonight as they put their 26-game win streak on the line. Duchene finished the regular season 10-1 with a 1.19 ERA.

Nebraska counters with Chance Sinclair, who finished with a 6-7 mark and 3.03 ERA.

Illinois took two from Nebraska last Thursday and Friday to clinch the outright Big Ten Championship at Illinois.

Tonight's ballgame is set for a 5 pm start time to air on the Big Ten Network.

The Big Ten champion Fighting Illini baseball team was rewarded for its record-setting season with a record number of Big Ten postseason awards, announced the conference office Tuesday.

David Kerian was named the Big Ten Player of the Year, Tyler Jay was named Pitcher of the Year and Dan Hartleb collected Coach of the Year honors.

Meanwhile, 11 Illini were named to All-Big Ten teams with six first-team selections.

Catcher Jason Goldstein (.298, 35 R, 8 HR, 42 RBI), first baseman David Kerian (.383, 42 R, 13 HR, 45 RBI), shortstop Adam Walton (.314, 47 R, 3 HR, 29 RBI), and outfielder Casey Fletcher (.338, 44 R, 3 HR, 32 RBI), were First Team selections, while starting pitcher Kevin Duchene (10-1, 1.19 ERA, 80 K, 10 BB) and closer Tyler Jay (5-1, 0.67 ERA, 12 SV, 62 K, 6 BB) were unanimous first-team selections.

Starting pitcher Drasen Johnson (9-2, 2.34 ERA, 64 K, 15 BB) was named to the Second Team, second baseman Reid Roper (.310, 48 R, 9 HR, 46 RBI), outfielder Ryan Nagle (.326, 40 R, 3 HR, 31 RBI), designated hitter Pat McInerney (.318, 29 R, 5 HR, 32 RBI), and starting pitcher John Kravetz (4-0, 3.76 ERA, 40 K, 12 BB), were all picked to the Third Team.
