Earlier this month, in his first meeting as Mayor, Cyrulik made sweeping changes to the DJWH board, appointing four new members, three former members, to seats on the hospital board that were expired. According to Mayor Cyrulik, he's pleased with the way the Board has now reorganized itself.

Mayor Cyrulik believes the city-owned hospital doesn't need a management firm to operate, which is what they have been pursuing for some time now. He believes the new board will start to provide some stability in the hospital.

The new hospital board President is Aaron Kammeyer and Randy Workman will serve as the vice-president on the board. Both have prior experience on the hospital board.
