The Chief believes his officers are very proactive when policing the city parks. He points out the unique location of Kiwanis Park in Clinton can sometimes make it a challenge to always have an eye on, but officers are required to check in on the parks once while they are on duty.

The Chief points out while vandalism is often a cause of deterioration at the park, it is also very old. At almost 15 years old and made of exclusively wood, the park is in need of some upgrades, which the City of Clinton has begun to address.
