You can help a lending hand to an organization aimed at finding homes for local animals while getting to know some of those animals.
This weekend in Wapella, 2nd Chance for Pets of DeWitt County in conjunction with Misflips in Wapella will be hosting a benefit featuring concerts and a D.J. According to Heather Wantland, with 2nd Chance for Pets, they are going to have several of their pets at the benefit to mingle and meet.

At the event, attendees will have the opportunity to directly help 2nd Chance for Pets. Wantland says they are in search of supplies for their pets in foster care and those at the DeWitt County Animal Shelter. Items they are seeking include dog and cat food, canned or dry and toys, blankets, and bedding.

The event is Saturday in Wapella from 4 pm to midnight. From 4 to 9 pm it is an all ages event, then from 9 pm to midnight it will be an adults only format.
