Warner Library Summer Reading Club Underway

width=It's all fun and games at the Warner Library this summer.

The Clinton library's annual summer reading club is underway and this year's theme is "Read to the Rythm". Paula Lopatick, with the Warner Library, says it's never too late to register. Registration started last Tuesday, the day after Memorial Day even though school was in session.

Activities, games and programs are scheduled from the start of the summer to the very end. According to Lopatick, their programs range from casual reading times to programs that inspire the imagination.

Lopatick has also loaded the calendar with a lot of exciting and interactive programs including Nitro Joe's Science Show, Silly Safaris Live Animal Show and Stomp Rocket Workshop.

While the summer is full of fun and games, Lopatick says they also want the kids to focus on reading. Prizes are given away and times are blocked out for reading. She says kids reading away from the school setting is very important for their learning when they return to school in the fall.

Lopatick wants reading to be fun for kids. She says whatever kids want to read is what they should read.

To get registered for the summer reading club, stop in at the Warner Library at 410 North Quincy Street in Clinton. Registering is easy and there is no deadline to be a part of the program.
