Baseball: Illini Super Regional Nearly Sold Out

width=Illinois's surging baseball team has sold most of its tickets for this weekend's Super Regional against Vanderbilt.

The Illini will face the Commodores Saturday, Sunday and, if need be, Monday in a series at Illinois Field on campus in Champaign. The first team with two wins advances to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.

According to reports, reserved tickets for the series were sold out by early Tuesday morning. The school said some general admission tickets were left.

Illinois (50-8-1) moved to the Super Regional by winning three straight last weekend at the Champaign regional. The Illini have won 50 games in a season for the first time in their history.

Vanderbilt (45-19) won the regional it hosted with three consecutive wins.
